Sound familiar?

Your press is fast. Your imposition isn't.

If you run digital roll labels, you probably recognize this:

You've got a fast digital press, but the imposition step slows production down.

Your machine has no tool that makes it easy to lay the print out against the die.

You can't export the die line to your cutter — rotary, semi-rotary, flatbed knife or laser.

Your prepress operators spend hours building the press-ready layout.

labelimpose is the tool for you.

What it does

From artwork to press-ready roll, in minutes.

Step-and-repeat, web & roll

You see the label the moment you upload it and the sheet redraws as you adjust. No “impose” button — adjust by looking.

Fit to the die

Import your die line or let labelimpose generate it, and lay the print out exactly to it.

Export to any cutter

DXF or vector PDF ready for rotary, semi-rotary, flatbed-knife or laser die-cutting.

PDF/X-4, color untouched

Color stays with your RIP. Full passthrough: CMYK values and spot inks — white, varnish — preserved.

Configurable presses

Add your press, material and cylinder in Preferences. Nothing hardcoded: 230, 350 or 420 mm, same flow.

Fewer prepress hours

What takes an afternoon of nudging comes out in minutes — and right the first time.

One die · any cutter

The die line goes wherever you cut.

labelimpose knows cutting isn't free: it validates the cylinder repeat when it's magnetic and leaves it open when it's laser. You export the exact layout geometry, matched to the millimeter.

How it works

Five steps. In the real order of the job.

The number says something true: the order production actually happens in, not decoration.

STEP 01

Artwork

Upload the 1-up label PDF with its bleed. It shows instantly.

STEP 02

Preflight

Check spot inks, bleed and the die before laying out.

STEP 03

Layout

Lanes across the web, repeats down the roll. The sheet draws itself.

STEP 04

Fine-tuning

Gaps, rotation and the eye mark. Adjust while watching the result.

STEP 05

Export

PDF/X-4 for the press and the die line for your cutter.

See it working

From 1-up to press-ready sheet, in one video.

The full tutorial, with real artwork: upload the label, preflight, layout against the die, eye mark and export. 15 minutes that replace an afternoon of trial and error.

FAQ

What people ask most.

Which presses does it support?
It started with the Flora J-350GT UV Inkjet in mind, but it works with any roll-to-roll digital label press. From a laser printer to an HP Indigo.
Which die-cutters can it export the die to?
Any of them: for magnetic die-making, digital knife, or laser. You export the die line as DXF or vector PDF.
Does it manage color?
No. The pipeline is passthrough: color stays with your RIP. Output is PDF/X-4 with your CMYK values and spot inks untouched.
Can it import an existing die line?
Yes. If you have the DXF or PDF of the die line, you fit the imposition to that geometry.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It's a 100% web app that runs in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
What formats does it export?
PDF/X-4 for the press, and DXF or vector PDF for the die.
